Panels Announced for Star Wars Celebration Anaheim 2022

Image
The schedule is live!! Last night the moment we've all been waiting for finally happened as the panel schedule was officially revealed. It looks like there's a few surprises (like the main Friday morning panel) still to come but so many amazing panels were revealed last night! The official site led the way with the schedule for the 3 main stages whilst the Panels page of the Celebration site was updated to include everything from podcasts to STEAM classes. From major reveals and Q&As with the stars, to lightsaber demonstrations, podcasts, and kids activities, there is so much to take in and something for every fan. There's even a panel for a previously unannounced series of animated shorts, Tales of the Jedi ! To help make sense of it all (because the official site layout isn't the best for seeing how things line up and overlap) I've created a spreadsheet showing every panel announced so far, along with all the extra activities and fan events we know about s...

Hello There! Sixth Guest Announcement Brings Ewan McGregor to Star Wars Celebration!

Image
Ewan McGregor is coming to Star Wars Celebration! Announced on social media on Friday (and selling out by Saturday) Obi-Wan himself is coming to Anaheim! With his long awaited return in Obi-Wan Kenobi  hitting Disney+ (and hopefully the convention center arena) on May 27, it seems only fitting that Ewan McGregor will be making his first appearance in the Celebration autograph hall on the very same day! If you missed out on his autograph and photo ops when the first went on sale, be sure to keep an eye out in case more are added. Plus, if (hopefully when) they announce Hayden Christensen's appearance you just know there will be a duo photo-op available (which may free up some singles as people swap and change). This is the first photo-op I've bought for this year and I'm so excited for it!! Ewan's appearance brings the guest total to 26 so far, with more to come over the next few weeks. You can see all of the announced guests, along with direct links to their Epic pr...

Fifth Wave of Guests Announced for Star Wars Celebration

Image
Thursday saw the announcement of the fifth wave of guests for Star Wars  Celebration. This time it was two of the incredible women of the sequel trilogy with the news that Kelly Marie Tran (Rose Tico) and Billie Lourd (Lieutenant Connix) will be joining the fans in Anaheim! Whilst both have attended Celebrations in the past, this will be the first time either have meet fans for autographs and photo ops. Both have now been added to the Celebration Guests 2022 page, with direct links to their Epic pre-order pages. Their addition brings the total number of guests to 25 so it's looking likely that the guest list may be smaller this year compared to Chicago, but the next addition is the big one!

Asmodee Brings Table Top Star Wars Games to Celebration

Image
As reported by  StarWarsNewsNet , Asmodee is bringing its popular Star Wars  table top game to Celebration next month. From Friday to Sunday fans will be able try out nine different games at the Asmodee booth, including the latest expansion, Outer Rim - Unfinished Business . In Chicago, Fantasy Flight Games (who Asmodee took over) also hosted a panel and had an exclusive Darth Vader miniature that fans could only get at Celebration so it's highly likely that they'll have some sort of exclusive this year as well. The nine games fans can experience at Celebration include: Star Wars: Outer Rim - Unfinished Business Expansion Play as a smuggler in the Outer Rim and steal all the loot you can carry. But watch out - draw too much attention and your bounty will draw hunters from across the galaxy. Love Letter: Jabba’s Palace Using iconic Star Wars characters, deceive and outwit other players to win Jabba’s favor. Collect cards and lay traps to knock other players out of the g...

Collecting Track and StarTots Pins Return for Celebration 2022

Image
The popular Star Wars  Celebration Collecting Track returns for Celebration Anaheim. Part of every Celebration since 1999, the Collecting Track features panels by the fans for the fans as some of the hobby's most well known collector's share their knowledge and the stories behind the toys that so many of us love and cherish. Each panel also gives out a free Star Tots pin to attendees at the end, and this year will be no exception! These pins have become incredibly popular with fans and collectors so make sure you attend the panels if you want to get your hands on them. Here are the panels that fans can enjoy this year: The Art of Star Wars Poster Collecting: 70s to Modern Star Wars Marvel Comics Making an Action Figure - Modern Prototypes Star Tours at 35: Collectibles from a Kingdom Not Far, Far Away LEGO Star Wars  Collecting Authenticating and Grading Star Wars Collectibles Star Wars  Original Props and Costumes Evolution of the Collectors Network Kenner Star ...

The Bad Batch Panel Announced

Image
Clone Force 99 let's go!! The Bad Batch  is coming to Celebration next month! Want to find out what's next for Hunter, Wrecker, Echo, Tech, Crosshair, and Omega? This is the panel for you. On Sunday, May 29, Dee Bradley Baker (The Bad Batch) and Michelle Ang (Omega) join story editor Matt Michnovetz and host David W. Collins to discuss the thrilling first season and give fans a glimpse of what lies in store for Season 2. Whilst it's not a guarantee, Star Wars  has a tradition of showing the season premieres for their animated series exclusively for fans at Celebration. So, if we're lucky, fans in the room may get to see the next episode before anyone else!

The Mandalorian Panel Announced!

Image
The second panel has been announced and you will not want to miss this! Taking place on Saturday, May 28, "Mando+: A Conversation with Jon Favreau & Dave Filoni" will bring together series creator Jon Favreau and executive producer Dave Filoni along with special guests for a look back at the journey so far and a look ahead at what's to come in the future. After the announcement that the Lucasfilm Live-Action panel would feature Obi-Wan Kenobi , Andor , and The Mandalorian  I genuinely did not think we would see individual panels for any of the shows so I am overjoyed to be getting another Mando  panel this year! This panel will allow them more time to dive into the world they've created (as well as the spin-off series, it is called Mando+ after all) and hopefully give a few small teases and sneak previews in addition to whatever is revealed at Thursday's panel. This is the way!

Third Wave of Guests Announced for Star Wars Celebration

Image
Star Wars Celebration announced the third wave of guests yesterday, confirming more stars from The Mandalorian and adding the leads of The Bad Batch ! Carl Weathers (Greef Karga), Katee Sackhoff (Bo-Katan Kryze), and Emily Swallow (The Armorer) led this round of announcements. With this being the first Celebration since The Mandalorian  premiered fans were hoping that the show would be well represented in the autograph hall this year and that is certainly looking to be the case! Another show that premiered after last Celebration is The Bad Batch , and this round of guests adds series leads Dee Bradley Baker (The Bad Batch) and Michelle Ang (Omega) to the guest list! Joining them will be Amy Allen (Aayla Secura) and Dickey Beer (Boba Fett in Return of the Jedi ) This brings us to a total of 20 guests so far for this year's Celebration so far, with more still to come!

Friday is Sold Out!

Image
And just like that another day is sold out. Adult Friday tickets join Adult 4-Day, Adult Saturday, and Jedi Master VIP as the latest Celebration sell out. Thursday and Sunday tickets are still available, but ReedPOP have advised that they are limited. So if you want to be in the room for that epic Live Action panel that was just announced you'll want to grab your ticket as soon as possible! If you need a Friday ticket, or any other sold out ticket, don't forget that the Lyte exchange is now open so you can hopefully get the tickets you need there. See you in Anaheim!

First Panel Announced! Lucasfilm Live Action!

Image
Talk about kicking things off in epic fashion! Star Wars  Celebration is just 50 days away and the official site today announced that the event will open with a live action showcase of Obi-Wan Kenobi , Andor , The Mandalorian , and more! On Thursday, May 26, Lucasfilm's live-action filmmakers, along with special guests, will come together to discuss all of the adventures heading our way from that galaxy far, far away. Any one of those could make for a headline panel, so to get them all in one panel is absolutely going to blow the roof off the convention center arena next month (and make me very nervous about the panel lottery for the next 50 days!) What could we see here? Whilst the bulk of the panel will likely be dedicated to Obi-Wan Kenobi , Andor , and The Mandalorian , all of which have finished filming and are expected to release this year, we'll hopefully get some updates on previously announced projects like Ahsoka , and  The Acolyte , and maybe a few surp...

Final "Road to Celebration" Pin Sets Revealed

Image
The final two Road to Celebration pin sets were revealed and added to the show store last week. Honestly, given how close we are and the fact that nothing as said about additional Road to Celebration releases I had assumed that we were only getting the Attack of the Clones  set this year so these two sets came as a bit of a surprise to me! These two sets feature characters from The Mandalorian  and The Bad Batch , and with them comes the launch of the official site's Pin Trading page , confirming a collection of 54 character pins for Celebration Anaheim. I'm loving Chris Uminga's design work for these pins and can't wait to see how the other characters look! I've added the Road to Celebration sets to the Show Store page and the pins to the Pin Trading page, so you can see everything there.

Hyperspace Mountain Returns in Time for Star Wars Celebration

Image
Get ready to blast into lightspeed as Hyperspace Mountain  returns to Disneyland just in time for Star Wars Nites and Star Wars Celebration! The popular Space Mountain  overlay sees the classic Tomorrowland attraction transported to a galaxy far, far away as your rocket through the stars between battling X-wings and TIE fighters to the iconic John Williams score. The retheme opens April 29 and should be available until at least the end of Celebration so if you're going to the parks you should have plenty of opportunity to check it out even if you're not attending Star Wars  Nite. We got the chance to try it in Paris a few years ago and it was absolutely incredible. I love Space Mountain  anyway but the difference the overlay, and especially the music, makes is staggering. Rocket Right onto the Battlefield Fend off crossfire from swarms of Rebel X-wing starfighters and Imperial TIE fighters amidst an intergalactic onslaught! Your mission begins with a briefing ...
