200 Days to Go! Guests, Hotels, Fan Panels and More Updates!

Image
We are just 200 days away from Star Wars Celebration Japan! I honestly can't believe how fast Celebration is coming up on us. It felt like a life time away earlier this year and now it feels like it will be here in no time! To mark the start of the 200 day countdown, the official Twitter account posted this short video earlier today: スター・ウォーズ セレブレーション ジャパン2025まで… ||◤ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄◥|| あと 𝟐 𝟎 𝟎 日💥 ||◣_________◢|| #スターウォーズ 旋風が ついにここ日本で巻き起こる! 金曜&日曜の単日券チケット好評発売中🎫 ➤ https://t.co/se6cV2N8Pv #SWCJ pic.twitter.com/ehIZORGcud — スター・ウォーズ公式 (@starwarsjapan) September 30, 2024 And now that we are just 200 days away I really need to get this blog back up to date! I am sorry that I haven't been updating recently. I got a new job over the summer and real life took over for a while but now it's time to catch up on everything that I missed and get all the Celebration Preparation guides updated for Tokyo over the rest of the year! First the big two announcements! On August 5th Star W...

SWAG at Star Wars Celebration Japan

Image
The SWAG Crew is back and better than ever for Star Wars  Celebration Japan with a new website that is the perfect resource for learning all about SWAG and helping you to create your own. Fan made SWAG (stuff we all get/stuff we all give) is one of the nicest things to receive at Star Wars Celebration. It's different from the official freebies (cool as they are) because you know that this is something that someone has created themselves just to give away to their fellow fans. It's that personal touch that makes the fan SWAG so special. Want to get involved and make your own SWAG? The SWAG Crew Facebook page  is still here with a brilliant community who are more than ready to help you take your first steps into a larger fan world. But for anyone new to SWAG you simply have to check out their new website ! From the history of the SWAG crew to everything you need to know about making your own. There are guidelines, FAQs, links to recommended suppliers who can make your SWA...

Saturday Sells Out for Star Wars Celebration Japan

Image
Last weekend adult tickets for Saturday officially sold out! There's a little discrepancy on when the sell out actually occurred, with  Star Wars  Celebration Japan officially announcing it on Sunday, May 12, but fans online were reporting that the ticket site began listing them as sold out the day before. Normally tickets can go in and out of stock whilst the last few are in peoples' carts but given the length of this delay I'd say it's more likely tickets did sell out on Saturday and the delay in reporting is simply due to the sell out happening on a weekend. Either way, Saturday is now sold out and Friday is well on the way to being next.

The queue is still taking a while to get through but at the time of writing this everything except VIP is still available. Though 3 day tickets are reportedly going in and out of stock so will likely be sold out soon. UPDATED After VIP badges sold out it wasn't long before adult 3-day badges joined them, officially selling out in 2 hours 55 minutes according to the official Twitter feed.

First Guests Announced for Star Wars Celebration Japan!

Image
The first wave of guests for Star Wars Celebration Japan is here! This is absolutely unprecedented given guest announcements normally only start around 3 months before the event, but this week StarWars.com  revealed the first four special guests who will be meeting fans for photos and autographs in Japan next year. Joining fans will be the legendary Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), Temuera Morrison (Jango Fett/Boba Fett), Ashley Eckstein (Ahsoka), and signing for the first time ever will be Lucasfilm's senior vice president and executive design director Doug Chiang! Doug has been a regular on Celebration panels for years now, but this is the first time he will be officially meeting and signing for fans. These guests have now been added to the Celebration Guests 2025 page. The timing of this announcement, just ahead of yesterday's VIP pre-sale and today's ticket sale, is new ground for Star Wars  Celebration. Normally we get guest announcements every week or so over the last fe...
