Star Wars Celebration is returning to Japan for the first time since 2008 for a three day event that promises to be truly out of this world.

On this page you will find all the essential information for Celebration Japan along with plenty of hints and tips to help get the most out of your Celebration.

EVENT TIMES

Star Wars Celebration Japan 2025 will take place Friday April 18th - Sunday April 20th 2025 at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba, just outside Tokyo.

The Show Floor hours are:

Friday 09:00-18:00
Saturday 09:00-18:00
Sunday 09:00-16:00

Jedi Masters will have access to the Show Floor, and VIP Lounge from 08:45 each morning.

HOTEL BLOCK

The official hotel block opened without warning on September 27th and, in a first for Star Wars Celebration, hotels will be released in waves. The first wave of 4 hotels featured 3 Disney Resort area hotels and all 4 hotels were a train ride away from Makuhari Messe.

Closer hotels are expected in subsequent waves though no time frame has been revealed. It has been confirmed that in December the hotel block will offer rooms at 3 of the official Tokyo Disney hotels - the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel, the Disney Ambassador Hotel, and the Tokyo Disney Celebration Hotel.

You can book available hotel block rooms via the official site. It is worth checking the site regularly as people will almost certainly swap rooms as more hotels get released.

The Panels
Here are the major panels coming to the Celebration Stage at Star Wars Celebration Europe. These are the panels where you will see the biggest special guests, the latest trailers, and maybe even a full episode or two.

It has been confirmed that the Ink Fusion Tattoo Pavilion will not be returning for Star Wars Celebration 2025 due to the smaller size of the show floor.

TICKET SALE

Tickets for Star Wars Celebration Japan 2025 went on sale on Thursday, May 2, at 19:00 EST (US) / Friday, May 3, at 08:00 JST (Japan), with an exclusive pre-sale for those who had Jedi Master VIP tickets to Celebration Europe 2023 taking place on Wednesday, May 1, at 12:00 EST (US) / 01:00 JST (Japan). Tickets are available now via the official site's ticket page.

Adult tickets cost ¥23,808 for 3-Day badges and ¥8,298 for single day badges.

Kids tickets cost ¥5,972 for 3-Day badges and ¥2,870 for single day badges.

Jedi Master VIP tickets cost ¥140,133. For the full contents of the Jedi Master Package please see here.

The official site states that the maximum number of each ticket type per order is four and a maximum of twenty tickets (all types) per order. So if your group is larger than four you will need to place multiple orders or order a combination of weekend and single day tickets.

Tickets will be sold in Japanese yen and PayPal will not be an option, so a card with no foreign exchange fee is highly recommended.

Tickets, and any merchandise purchased with them, will not be shipped in advance. All tickets and merch pre-orders will be collected together on site.

The LYTE ticket exchange has not yet been announced. I would expect it to return next year as we get closer to the event but this is not guaranteed. If you are trading tickets privately please be careful as the email that you used to buy the badge is linked to your panel and exclusive lotteries so make sure you discuss and agree with the seller to have this changed with ReedPOP.

  Funko went all out for May the 4th, revealing the multitude of  Star Wars Celebration exclusives coming from Funko and Loungefly. First up is the Diamond Glitter Grogu. Limited to 5000 pieces, this is a shared exclusive with other ReedPOP conventions this year. Some Early Celebration Europe 2023 Advice

  Over the next few weeks I'm going to start updating this blog with a new 2023 hub and working on new guides for next year. But for those of you who want to get the jump on things I figured I'd do a quick post with the information we do have (and a little on what we can expect to be different from last time Celebration was in London). Next year Star Wars Celebration is returning to London, and to the ExCeL Center where both Celebration Europe 2007 and 2016 were held. This will be the first four day Celebration in Europe and will take place over the Easter weekend from Friday, April 7, to Monday, April 10. Ticket sales haven't been announced yet (hopefully we should see them in the next month or two), so most of this will be focused on hotels and how things ran in 2016.
