D23 to Live Stream Select Panels
We're just over a week from Disney's D23 Expo in Anaheim. Whilst nothing is confirmed, it's widely expected that we will get our first officially released trailer for The Mandalorian at the Disney+ Showcase on Friday, followed by a Behind The Scenes video for The Rise of Skywalker during Saturday's Behind the Scenes at Walt Disney Studios panel.
Plus there's always a chance of some surprises.
And maybe, just maybe, we can all watch along as Disney have announced that select panels from D23 will be live streamed;
UPDATE: #D23Expo 2019 is sold out! Next week, we will be announcing select panels at the Expo which will be live-streamed. Stay tuned for more details! pic.twitter.com/T3ebZhZ5Ph— Disney D23 (@DisneyD23) 14 August 2019
Now, don't get too excited. The main events may be Disney+, Disney Studios, and Disney Parks, but in 2017 none of those panels were on the live stream schedule. Hopefully they were just testing the waters last time and we get a more robust line up this year. In terms of live streaming, Star Wars Celebration continues to set the gold standard for all conventions. Here's hoping D23 was taking notes.
Even if the major panels aren't live streamed, The Last Jedi's Behind The Scenes video was uploaded pretty much simultaneously with the panel in 2017 so we should still hopefully see most of the new reveals.
May the Force be with you.
