Oscar Isaac Cancellation, Show Store Preview, Food Hall and More Updates
We are well into the home stretch and the news is coming thick and fast so this is another round up post to try and cover everything from the last few days.
First, some sad news. On Saturday, April 5, it was announced that Oscar Isaac would no longer be attending Star Wars Celebration Japan due to production commitments. I've updated the Celebration Guests page to reflect this.
This means that his Saturday panel, "A Conversation with Oscar Isaac", is also cancelled. However, I do have to admit that ReedPop have put together an impressive replacement, especially on such short notice.
Replacing Oscar's panel on the Galaxy Stage will be "Stars of Star Wars", where Vanessa Marshall will host a conversation with Mads Mikkelsen, Manny Jacinto, and Sam Witwer! I was looking forward to Oscar's panel but I'm equally excited for this.
On Friday, April 4, StarWars.com gave us our first look at some of the merch that will be in the official Celebration Show Store, from Samurai Stormtrooper shirts to Grogu skateboard decks it looks like we're in for the same eclectic mix of goodies that we've come to expect from the store.
Here's a few sample images and I've added the full list to the Celebration Show Store 2025 page. I was hoping that the official Celebration site would have updated with the full range over the weekend but I guess we'll have to wait a little longer for that.
Information on the fan club photos has been harder to come by this year but, thanks to the help of friends over at the SWC Unofficial Discord, I've been able to get the details for most of the major photos (still missing a few of the detachments so if any fan club members are reading this and have a full schedule please drop me a message and I'll get the page updated). You can find them all over on the Celebration Fan Events 2025 page and I've updated the full schedule spreadsheet as well.
I've added more artist exclusives to the Vendor Exclusives 2025 page, and with the final Hot Toys reveal expected later this morning, I think that may be the last of the exclusives we see before the show as it now looks like Funko and Lounefly's intended exclusives will (or have already in Loungefly's case) be sold normally rather than at the show and RSVLTS are still playing their cards close to the vest so we might not see what they have planned until we're in Japan. Should that change I will update the page asap!
It's not the first time there's been a food hall at Star Wars Celebration but it might be the first time its been part of the main show floor and I'm certain this is the first time we've had a special menu of Star Wars inspired options to enjoy! From Light & Dark Inari Sushi to Wagu Speeder Skewers there's plenty of exciting options to try.
The Food Hall will be in Hall 7, along with Droid Races and the Holonet News Stage, and you can find the full menu in English and Japanese at the official site.
In addition to the special Food Hall menu, food trucks will be available in the Outside Exhibition Space in near the morning queue area.
The final Collecting Track acrylic stand figures have been revealed so the Collecting Track post is now complete.
And that is this blog pretty much up to date! It's just gone midnight as I'm finishing this post meaning we are now into single digits and just 9 days away from the next Star Wars Celebration! I can't wait to see everyone there!
