The Skywalker Saga Returns to the Big Screen for Star Wars Celebration

 

The Skywalker Saga is returning to the big screen for Star Wars Celebration!

Earlier this month Rogue One played at Cinema Ikspiari ahead of April's brand new missions in Star Tours: The Adventures Continue, and next month all nine episodes of cinema's most iconic saga will be played in honor of Star Wars Celebration's return to Japan!

The films will be the 4K editions and will be played in English with Japanese subtitles.

And Cinema Ikspiari isn't the only cinema screening the saga for Celebration!


Aeon Cinema Makuhari, just 15 minutes walk from the convention center, will be screening all nine episodes of the Skywalker Saga with "live sound".

Not to be confused with Star Wars in Concert, these "live sound" screenings don't actually feature a live orchestra. Instead Aeon describe them as "a screening style in which large-scale, high-quality sound equipment for live concerts is set up in a movie theater to enjoy the realism of the "sound" of a movie with great power and feeling". Standard screenings will also be available.

The Road to Star Wars Celebration Begins February 25th

Last night Star Wars Celebration revealed a first look at 2025's Pin Trading collection , this year designed by Jerrod Maruyama, with the debut of three Road to Celebration pin sets featuring characters from A New Hope , Revenge of the Sith , and Ahsoka . But that's not all! For the first time ever Star Wars Celebration is introducing badge art pins! These pins will be sold individually and come packaged in a collectible box with a small display stand. Available as part of the Road to Celebration will be Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Darth Vader, Ahsoka, and The Mandalorian & Grogu.
