Celebrating STAR WARS

  It's the traditional fan club SWAG trade! Taking place on Friday, April 18, members of the seven fan groups (501st, Rebel Legion, Mandalorian Mercs, Saber Guild, Dark Empire, Droid Builders, and Galactic Academy) are welcome to gather together at the TKP Tokyo Bay Makuharui Hall 1F ("Cote d'Azur") for a free SWAG trading event. This is a chance to trade patches, pins and more with fellow group members from around the world as everyone comes together at Celebration. The SWAG trade will be open from 7PM-10PM.   Welcome to the Outer Rim Matsuri (festival)! On outer rim world, not dissimilar to Japan, the fan clubs are coming together for their traditional Star Wars  Celebration bash! Taking place on Saturday, April 19, the Celebration Bash is open to members of the official groups along with their families and friends. That's right, families! For the first time ever the Celebration Bash will welcome all ages for an evening of fun, food, drinks, and entertainment. Tickets to the Bash cost ¥12,000 per adult, ¥3,500 per child (ages 13-17), and ¥2,500 per child (ages 6-12). All tickets include a meal and all-you-can-drink beverages including both alcohol and soft drinks. Adult tickets also include a special event goodie bag containing an original patch, artwork, and more. The event takes place at TKP Tokyo Bay Makuhari Hall, just a short walk from the convention center.   The Bash is back! The UK Garrison and Jedi News have joined together to host this Celebration's Fan Club Bash! Bringing together the 501st, the Rebel Legion, the Mandalorian Mercs, Droid Builders, Saber Guild, the Dark Empire, the Galactic Academy, and Fantha Tracks this highly anticipated event is open to adults only and will take place at Pergola on the Wharf on April 7. Entertainment will be provided with sets from LevelUp Leroy and DJ Elliot, and more to be announced. Tickets to the Bash, which were £66 and included two drinks and meal, have already sold out ! This means that the event sadly will not be opened up to non-members as it has in the past. However, the organizers are talking with the venue to see if there is any further capacity so maybe there's still some hope for those who haven't got tickets yet.

  The Fan Club Bash for Celebration 2022 has been announced! Bringing together the 501st, the Rebel Legion, the Mandalorian Mercs, Droid Builders, Saber Guild, the Dark Empire, and the Galactic Academy this highly anticipated event includes hors d'oeuvres and an open bar (with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks available) along with entertainment from The Force Capacitors (aka The Flux Capacitors), DJ Elliot, Darth Elvis, Atomic Blonde, and special surprise guests. The Bash 2022 is for over 18s only and will take place on Thursday, May 26, from 8pm until midnight in the Platinum Ballroom at the Anaheim Marriott hotel. Tickets are currently on sale to all group members for $110 and also include a Lightspeed Lane reservation for the Celebration Store on Thursday, and a silent auction to benefit St. Jude.   Ready to celebrate like a Mandalorian? Reservations for the Mandalorian Mercs Celebration Dinner are now open! Taking place on Saturday, May 28, at the Grand Theatre Anaheim (time TBC), the Mercs invite all members to a dinner and silent auction in support of LWI. Tickets range from $75-100 depending on membership level ($45 for kids) and include a swag bag. Tickets are on sale now at the Mercs' store  for collection from their table at Celebration Anaheim.

We have our first Guest announcement! Dominic Pace, who played the bounty hunter Gekko in episodes one and three of The Mandalorian , will be appearing at Celebration Anaheim courtesy of the Mandalorian Mercs. Dominic made the announcement on Facebook where he confirmed he will be signing a piece of Lucasfilm approved artwork by Todd Alan Smith with a portion of proceeds going to benefit the causes supported by the Mando Mercs. Based on this announcement I'm assuming that Dominic will be signing at the Mandalorian Mercs' table rather than in the Topps autograph area. With our first guest confirmed Celebration will be here before we know it!

This is the way! The Mando Mercs announced their Star Wars Celebration dinner this week and you can join them! Taking place on Saturday, August 29th, the Mercs Dinner Bash will be hosted at Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel. Entry to the event costs $100 dollars (with reduced rates for children and official, auxiliary, and supporting members of the Mercs) and includes; Admission to the event Your choice dinner with a choice of four main courses, starter salad, and dessert A cash bar A swag bag full of Mandalorian Merc goodies The option to purchase discounted tickets for Disneyland Silent Auction The festivities begin at 19:00 with doors open from 18:00 so you'll have plenty to time to head back to your room for a quick change or to drop off your merch after a day at Celebration. For the first time at Celebration the fan clubs are joining forces! Announced this week by the official Celebration website , the 501st, the Rebel Legion, the Mandalorian Mercs, The Dark Empire, the Saber Guild, the Droid Builders, and the Galactic Academy are teaming up to present a unified, interactive fan experience in Chicago. Showcasing everything from costuming to large scale props, droid building to performances and character interaction, the exhibit will take fans into the galaxy far, far away and show the love of the Star Wars community. Plus there's games! Hunt for the Death Star Plans, watch the Trooper Olympics, go bounty hunting, and, of course, take part in the famous Droid Hunt! This will be an exhibit long remembered, so make sure you check it out on the show floor in Chicago! UPDATED - Here's a map of the Fan Club area courtesy of the Mandalorian Mercs Facebook group ! And don't miss the droid races on Friday and Saturday from 14:00-16:00!

One of the most impressive sights at every Celebration is when the legions assemble. Whether it's the infamous 501st, the heroic Rebel Legion, the glorious Mando Mercs, or any of the multitude of costuming groups, the giant group photos that take place are always a breathtaking sight. In London I totally missed seeing any of the group photos since they aren't really announced by any of the official sites or social media channels. But thanks to ObiAnne over at TheForce.net , the SWCC Discord Group, and a massive thanks to  SWC 2019 Meets, Photos & Events  we now know when these fantastic events will be taking place!
