Celebrating STAR WARS

  The second round of guests has been announced for Star Wars  Celebration, including more headliners, our first supporting cast members, and the authors of the immensely popular Star Wars: The High Republic  series! Headlining this round of announcements are The Mandalarian 's Giancarlo Esposito (Moff Gideon) and Omid Abtahi (Doctor Pershing), the mighty Chewbacca himself, Joonas Suotamo, and  Daniel Logan. Joining them will be The Book of Boba Fett 's Carey Jones (Black Krrsantan), Margo Apostolos (the Ewok Tokkat), Jett Lucas (Zett Jukassa), Orli Shoshan (Shaak Ti), Kevin Thomspon (the Ewok Chubbray), and Tim Rose (Admiral Ackbar). Added to last week's announcements , this brings us to 13 guests so far for the autograph hall. Joining them in Anaheim will be the Luminous team of Claudia Gray, Justina Ireland, Daniel José Older, Cavan Scott, and Charles Soule. We have our first confirmed author! On Monday Timothy Zahn, the creator of Grand Admiral Thrawn and Mara Jade, took to Facebook to announce that he will be a guest at this year's Star Wars Celebration, writing; "I can now officially announce that I'll be attending Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim this August. I'll expect to see some of you (probably a LOT of you!) there." The author of the recent Thrawn trilogy will no doubt be discussing his upcoming Thrawn Ascendancy trilogy at a Del Rey Books panel during the four day event. Fans will also likely have the plenty of opportunities to meet the author at signings throughout the Celebration. It's a little unexpected that Zahn announced this himself via Facebook, but I expect an official announcement via StarWars.com will follow next month, matching up with when the attending authors were announced for Celebration Chicago. This week Del Rey revealed their full schedule of booth signings and all of the panels they will be taking part in at Celebration Chicago next week! You can find the full schedule below. In addition to the From A Certain Point of View signing, Ahsoka and Queen's Shadow author E. K. Johnston will be signing at the Anderson's booth on Thursday (18:00-20:00). This signing will require a purchase to take part. The exclusive cover of Queen's Shadow will be available at the booth. On Friday she will be signing at the Her Universe booth (14:00-16:00) and off site at Anderson's La Gange (19:00-21:00). And on Sunday will be at the Pride Squadron booth (1346). Please note that signings at the Del Rey booth are free and authors are happy to sign any of their works that you bring.
