Cosplay Changing Room Reservations Available Tomorrow (US) / Saturday (Japan)

Image
To paraphrase Ezra, "One last reservation." Cosplay Changing Room Reservations will go live tomorrow at 4PM (PDT) March 28 / 8AM (JST) March 29. Like with the panel reservations earlier this week, the queue link will be shared on Star Wars Celebration's official social media channels and should be added to the Cosplay page an hour before reservations go live. Once on the reservation page you will be asked to select the day that you require a reservation for and your gender. Select your in and out times, select coat check (you must do this) and then complete your reservation. On the day, head to Hall 9 on Level 1 and present your reservation PDF (accessed from your confirmation email). The changing rooms will be primarily locker room style with some private changing areas available on a first come, first served basis with priority given to minors. Cosplay changing rooms will cost ¥1,500 per day. This cost includes access to change into and out of costume, and storage...

Celebration Basics - Cosplay at Celebration

Image
So you want to cosplay at Star Wars Celebration. That's awesome! One of the best things at  Star Wars  Celebration is seeing so many fans in absolutely amazing costumes! So where do you start? First decide what you want to be. A Jedi Knight or a Sith Lord? A hero of the Rebellion or a loyal Imperial officer? Do you want to be a character from the movies, TV shows, Legends, or maybe one of your own creation? Heck, why not mash it up a bit?! At previous Celebration's I've seen a Jedi Joker, a Captain America Stormtrooper, and a Pikachu inspired Mandalorian. Be whatever you want to be! First things first, cosplaying will be a little different in Japan with the new rules around travelling to and from Celebration in costume, so make sure you read the full Cosplay Guide on the official site. It may affect the costume(s) you decide to wear to the convention. In brief, Japanese etiquette frowns upon wearing costumes that could be disruptive to fellow passengers whilst using publi...

We are in the home stretch! Star Wars  Celebration Japan is less than three months away! Which means I really need to get this blog updated again. I can't believe the last big update post I did was at the 200 days mark back in September! Once again I'm very sorry updates have been so infrequent this time around and I will make sure this site stays on track as we head into the home stretch. Earlier this week I did a post bringing guest announcements up to date ahead of autographs and photo ops going on sale on Thursday ( you can read about that fun time here ). So now it's time to get everything else back on track. First up - cosplay! Back on October 2nd ReedPOP announced new rules for cosplay at Star Wars Celebration. More specifically for travelling in cosplay to Star Wars  Celebration due to Japanese etiquette for travelling in costume. I'll write up the details fully in an updated cosplay guide soon but you can read them all on the official site now. And speakin...
