Celebrating STAR WARS

  Well, that was certainly eventful!! Guest photo ops and autographs are now on sale via Official Pix/Epic Photos but it was a bumpy start! Opening at 7PM ET yesterday, sales were quickly suspended as it became apparent that a back end conversion error was causing chaos. Prices on guest pages were appearing in dollars (for the incorrect amount), the correct yen rate would then appear when you viewed your basket or went to check out. Not ideal, but the real issue was that system then tried to charge you the yen amount in dollars! So a ¥27,995 autograph that should have been around $180 was coming through as $27,995! Needless to say a lot of people were having their cards declined (and those few that went through will be needing refunds)! Due to the time difference I'm not quite sure how long sales were down for. It was almost 2:30am in the UK/9:30pm ET when I decided to call it a night but the issue had been resolved when I got up four hours later. So far no guests have sold o...

  The 501st. The Rebel Legion. The Mandalorian Mercs. Every Celebration has iconic photos of these groups (and more!) gathered together and Anaheim will be no different. Taking place at the stairs on the second floor of the south terrace the main group shoots have been scheduled for Friday and Saturday: Friday, May 27 Mandalorian Mercs - 11am Knights of the Jedi Order - 11:30am Rebel Legion - 1pm The Dark Empire - 2pm Saturday, May 28 501st Legion - 1pm Saber Guild - 8pm After the big group photos, smaller divisional photos will take place throughout the days. These, along with all other group photos announced so far, can be found on the Fan Events page . Please note that due to security reasons costuming groups are not able to access some of the photo locations until 10am so photo times have been updated.

 I was debating whether to post this now or wait for tonight's autograph updates to drop and cover it all at once. The last week has been a busy one for me so I didn't get chance to post the latest guest announcements when they were announced last Wednesday (but I made sure to tweet about it, even if I can't post here straight away I will always share the latest updates on Twitter so please give me a follow). That wouldn't have been so bad if it was just an autograph update, but so much news dropped last week (along with a few bits I needed to catch up on) so I was pretty much up until 2am last night getting this place up to date. One of the most impressive sights at every Celebration is when the legions assemble. Whether it's the infamous 501st, the heroic Rebel Legion, the glorious Mando Mercs, or any of the multitude of costuming groups, the giant group photos that take place are always a breathtaking sight. In London I totally missed seeing any of the group photos since they aren't really announced by any of the official sites or social media channels. But thanks to ObiAnne over at TheForce.net , the SWCC Discord Group, and a massive thanks to  SWC 2019 Meets, Photos & Events  we now know when these fantastic events will be taking place!
