  Here we go!!! The first guests have finally been announced for Star Wars Celebration 2022 and ReedPOP are opening strong with a trio of beloved actors from across the saga! Anthony Daniels needs no introduction, having played C-3PO in all nine episodes of the Skywalker Saga, as well as in Rogue One , The Clone Wars , Rebels , and pretty much every video game, TV commercial and anything else you can think of! Add in an appearance in Solo  as Tak, and Daniels is the only actor to have appeared in all 11 Star Wars  films. The Emperor himself is coming as Ian McDiarmid returns to Celebration. Ian is another actor to have appeared in all three trilogies, as well as in Rebels , and a firm fan favorite at Celebrations. And speaking of fan favorites, Ashley Eckstein is returning to Celebration! The voice of Ahsoka Tano in The Clone Wars  and Rebels  (as well as The Rise of Skywalker ), Ashley is beloved by fans of all ages and you just can't imagine Celebration without her. All three of

  Show floor closed but not quite ready to say goodbye? Head on over to the Unsung Brewing Company on Sunday, May 29, for Machtails from the Cantina Live as Cris Macht brings his talk show on the road for the first time. Beginning at 6pm, the show promises special guests and SWAG, along with fun and hijinks as the Celebration weekend comes to an end, and admission is free.   Fancy a cold beer after Celebration? This might be the event for you. Taking place on Saturday, May 28, from 7pm - 9pm at the Rad Beer Company this Celebration After Party is open to everyone with a Celebration ticket or wearing any Star Wars gear. With craft beers, a raffle (including some Celebration exclusives as prizes), and a food truck, it's sure to be an easy way to relax after a full day on the show floor.   It's Star Wars  Night for the Los Angeles Angels. With Celebration in town the Angels have a special Star Wars  giveaway for their game against the Toronto Blue Jays on Friday, May 27. The first 25,000 fans in attendance will receive an exclusive Ohtani-Wan Kenobi bobblehead figure. The game is scheduled to begin at 6:38pm, so make sure you allow yourself enough time to get from the convention center to the stadium if you plan on going to the game. Tickets are available here.

  Build your own droid? Want to know more about those who do? This could be the fan event for you. The Droidbuilders are hosting the builder's dinner on Thursday, May 26, at Buca di Beppo Italian Restaurant. Just a short walk from the convention center, the evening meal begins at 7:30pm so it's ideally timed after a long day at Celebration. Tickets cost $50 and include family style dinner consisting of mix green and Caesar salads, spaghetti with meat sauce, baked rigatoni, chicken parmigiana, and a cheesecake dessert, all washed down with unlimited soft drinks, coffee, and tea (alcoholic beverages are not included but are available from a cash bar).   Rebel Force Radio are hosting a party and everyone is invited to this Rooftop Bash at The Fifth Rooftop Bar & Restaurant. Taking place from 6pm - 11pm on Wednesday, May 25, the evening will feature live podcasting by Rebel Force Radio from 7pm - 9pm culminating with a rooftop view of the Disneyland fireworks, and a cash bar serving Star Wars  inspired beverages.   Star Wars Celebration is almost here! With multiple TV series, the sequel to Jedi: Fallen Order , and even more in the pipeline, 2022 promises to be one of the biggest years ever for Star Wars so it's the perfect time for a Celebration. Four incredible days filled with absolutely everything from the latest reveals to cosplay so good it could have come from the movie set. And Funko Pops. Lots and lots of Funko Pops.  This post is the big one. It would be easy to do a Top 5 or Top 10 tips, but that would leave so much out. Star Wars Celebration is massive, and even if you scored a VIP Jedi Master ticket (lucky!!) you simply can't do everything.   Star Wars Celebration Anaheim went back on sale yesterday and Jedi Master, 4-Day (Adult), and Saturday (Adult) tickets are all officially sold out! Jedi Master went first, with the sell out officially announced at 9:21am PT. That might seem like a long time for the VIP tickets to hang around but realistically they went in seconds, the extra 20 minutes just being the time it took for the sales to process and ReedPOP to announce the sell outs. Both 4-Day and Saturday went in and out of stock after the first half hour, with the official Twitter account telling people to keep trying as tickets in the process of being purchased could be released back to stock if people chose not to complete their purchase. Ultimately both officially sold out just after 3pm PT. The rapid sell out echoes 2019 , when the same tickets also sold out the day they went on sale. Back in 2019 Friday badges were the next to go , selling out 3 days later. So don't sleep on it if you want a Friday ticket. One th

  D23 is coming to Celebration! As part of their 13th anniversary Member Appreciation Week, the official Disney fan club revealed that they will be at Star Wars  Celebration in Anaheim saying "D23 will be at Star Wars Celebration Anaheim from May 26 through May 29! You’ll be able to get your boogie on at D23 Galactic Disco Night , and make sure to look out for some more special D23 surprises throughout the weekend!" In Chicago D23 hosted a special screening of Return of the Jedi , introduced by Ashley Eckstein. With the closer proximity to the parks (and the creation of Galaxy's Edge) I'm definitely excited to see what special surprises they have in store!

  Given its close proximity to Disneyland, Anaheim has no shortage of places for dining. Whether you want a sit down meal or to just grab a quick bite on the go there will be plenty of options for your taste and your budget. Now, there's plenty of online guides to the best foods in Anaheim, including Trip Advisor's recent Top 10 Restaurants in Anaheim , so this guide is going to focus more on what's available near the convention center itself just to keep things manageable. Anaheim Convention Center &  The Food Trucks Whilst the convention center website and guide don't list the individual restaurants available, instead noting "we feature unique culinary experiences throughout the building within each exhibit hall and lobby", I expect the standard convention fare along with the traditional high prices such events bring. With the official announcement of Del Rey Books as the first exhibitor at Star Wars Celebration Chicago I figured it was time to start the exhibitor list! Whilst not a full list of everything on the show floor (there will be fan made props, likely ILMxLAB experiences, and more) this should end up as a pretty comprehensive list of all the vendors, artists, and exhibitors that will be at Celebration.   We have our first show floor booth confirmed! Del Rey Books confirmed today that they will be attending Star Wars  Celebration in Anaheim for all 4 days of the show. And it looks like exhibitors are getting their booth details as they also confirmed that they will be at booth 1619 on the show floor. No details on exclusives yet, but last time they had a gorgeous exclusive cover for Claudia Gray's Master & Apprentice  which came with an exclusive tote and pin badge. The booth is also likely to be home to author signings throughout the event so make sure you check back for all the exciting announcements that are sure to be coming soon!   Welcome to the Golden State! For the first time since 2015, Star War Celebration is returning to Anaheim and it looks like it might just be the best location for our favorite convention. With plenty of hotels near the convention center and Disneyland just a walk away, almost everything you need is nearby. Whilst nothing can beat the freedom of driving yourself, or the door to door service that Uber, Lyft, and even regular old taxis can provide, I imagine a lot of fans (myself included) will be relying on public transport during their time in Anaheim. Fortunately, Anaheim looks to have great connections for both in resort travel and for travelling to and from the local airports. Hotel Shuttles With this being Disneyland, many local hotels offer shuttles to the parks. If you can get a shuttle to the parks, or if your hotel is near the parks, then it's about a 20-25 minute walk from the park entrances to the convention center.   It's finally happening!!! We are 80 days away from Star Wars Celebration Anaheim and ReedPOP announced today that long awaited ticket resale will take place next Tuesday, March 15th, along with new merchandise pre-orders, the return of the Lyte ticket exchange, and new covid entry requirements. TICKETS Tickets go on sale next Tuesday, Match 15th, at 9am PT, and ReedPOP are advising that there will only be a limited number available. All ticket types, including 4 Day badges and VIP Jedi Master badges, will be available. For US attendees, badges will then be mailed out ahead of the event.
