Star Wars Celebration Los Angeles Sells Out in Record Time

Image
Well, that was certainly intense! Yesterday Star Wars Celebration tickets went on sale and 5 hours 54 chaotic minutes later they were officially sold out . As always, the VIP Jedi Master tickets were the first to sell out . Officially the sell out was announced at 1:23PM PT. Realistically the vast majority of VIP tickets went in seconds with the later official time being the result of one or two tickets dropping back into stock as shopping carts timed out. This could also be seen with adult 4-Day tickets. The sell out was officially announced at 2:26PM PT . In practice, 4-Day tickets were flickering in and out of stock within the first hour. Friday and Saturday adult tickets were next, with their sell out officially confirmed at 4:33PM PT . Then, at 5:54PM PT, Star Wars Celebration was officially sold out. This is officially the fastest sell out on record for the full event. But that isn't quite the full story. Looking back at some old posts on this blog, Chicago took "less...

Star Wars Celebration Los Angeles Tickets and Hotels On Sale Today

Image
Here we go again! I hope you all had a great Star Wars Day. Now it's time to look to the future once more. Today is a day that's equal parts excitement and anxiety inducing as tickets and hotels for Star Wars Celebration Los Angeles 2027 go on sale! Tickets will on sale at 12pm PT (3PM ET). Once you have your tickets secured you will receive access to the hotel block via your confirmation email (no word yet on whether this will just be a direct link, access code or unique link). Make sure you keep an eye on all Star Wars Celebration social accounts as they can sometimes share the link to the ticket queue there before updating main site. The link to the ticket sale will be shared early, this will take you to a holding room and at 12pm PT everyone in the holding room will be randomly assigned a place in the queue and see the infamous running man (or man who walks agonizingly show depending on where you are in the queue). There's no "trick" to beating the runnin...

LET'S GO!!!! This is the moment we've been waiting for since the show floor closed on the final day of Star Wars  Celebration Japan just under a year ago. Today StarWars.com announced that tickets and hotel block for next year's Star Wars Celebration Los Angeles will go on sale May 6, 2026. But that's not all! I love the classic Luke and Leia pose and the Hollywood style Star Wars  sign. Along side the announcement the official Star Wars Celebration site was updated for SWCLA2027 giving us ticket pricing, our first look at the Key Art t-shirt (one of the items you'll be able to pre-order with your tickets) and a few other bits of information so let's dive in! Final Badge Art Revealed for Star Wars Celebration Japan

Image
The final round of Takumi's exquisite badge art for Star Wars Celebration Japan was revealed last night. This last round of eight badges features some of the sagas most iconic characters and epic duels in traditional ukiyo-e style, blending the iconography of Star Wars and Japan. These final badges feature Anakin Vs Obi-Wan, Rey & Kylo Ren, Mon Mothma, Osha, Kai & Nubs, Princess Leia, Cassian Andor, and Sol Vs The Stranger. This is arguably one of the most stunning (and certainly most unique) badge sets ever produced for a Star Wars Celebration and I can't wait to see it on merchandise throughout the Celebration Store... O r even sooner !

Star Wars Celebration Japan Updates - Cosplay, Badge Art, Ticket Transfers and Vendor Announcements

Image
We are in the home stretch! Star Wars  Celebration Japan is less than three months away! Which means I really need to get this blog updated again. I can't believe the last big update post I did was at the 200 days mark back in September! Once again I'm very sorry updates have been so infrequent this time around and I will make sure this site stays on track as we head into the home stretch. Earlier this week I did a post bringing guest announcements up to date ahead of autographs and photo ops going on sale on Thursday ( you can read about that fun time here ). So now it's time to get everything else back on track. First up - cosplay! Back on October 2nd ReedPOP announced new rules for cosplay at Star Wars Celebration. More specifically for travelling in cosplay to Star Wars  Celebration due to Japanese etiquette for travelling in costume. I'll write up the details fully in an updated cosplay guide soon but you can read them all on the official site now. And speakin...

Saturday Sells Out for Star Wars Celebration Japan

Image
Last weekend adult tickets for Saturday officially sold out! There's a little discrepancy on when the sell out actually occurred, with  Star Wars  Celebration Japan officially announcing it on Sunday, May 12, but fans online were reporting that the ticket site began listing them as sold out the day before. Normally tickets can go in and out of stock whilst the last few are in peoples' carts but given the length of this delay I'd say it's more likely tickets did sell out on Saturday and the delay in reporting is simply due to the sell out happening on a weekend. Either way, Saturday is now sold out and Friday is well on the way to being next.

UPDATED After VIP badges sold out it wasn't long before adult 3-day badges joined them, officially selling out in 2 hours 55 minutes according to the official Twitter feed.

Star Wars Celebration Reveals Key Art and Ticket Sale Date for Japan 2025

Image
Hello there! Well, that was a littler earlier than expected! Last night Star Wars  Celebration revealed the key art for Japan 2025 and announced that tickets for the highly anticipated event would go on sale Thursday, May 2, at 19:00 EST (US) / Friday, May 3, at 08:00 JST (Japan). Debuting the key art  StarWars.com  revealed that it was created using the traditional Japanese sumi-e style of blank ink painting. The artwork blends together the iconography of Star Wars  with that of Japan itself, with Mount Fuji centered in Japan's Rising Sun flag, framed by TIE Fighters, X-wings, and AT-ATs, with Darth Vader in the foreground and swirls of black ink extending from the Sith Lord to form the branches of cherry blossom trees. When tickets go on sale (as near to May 4th as possible) they will cost $168.85 for a 3-Day adult badge and $42.35 for a 3-Day child badge. Single day badges will also be available at $58.85 each for adults and $20.35 for children. There ...

Image
Hey all, just a little bit of an update post to catch up a few things. This Thursday Sunday tickets once again sold out, leaving only a limited number of Friday and Monday tickets available (for sold out ticket types you can still go through the  Lyte Ticket Exchange ). Badges are currently going out (and they look just as nice in hand!). We still have nearly two weeks to go so if you haven't received yours yet please don't panic. However, if you are travelling and they don't arrive in time it has been confirmed you can simply go to Will Call/Fan Services with your order confirmation and they will be able to issue you with replacement badges so there's no need to worry. When you do get your badges, badge activation is now live. So you can follow this link to activate them. Again, don't worry if you can't do it until you get there, they don't need to be activated in advance. Also live now is the official Star Wars  Celebration Europe 2023 mobile app, which...
