Star Wars in Concert for Celebration Japan

Image
Star Wars in Concert  is heading to Tokyo! Whilst not technically a Star Wars  Celebration event, these performances of the original trilogy in concert are clearly timed to coincide with Celebration, taking place on the same days as the convention. If you've never been to Star Wars in Concert  I can highly recommend it. Hearing a live orchestra perform John Williams' iconic scores to a screening of the original film is something every fan should experience at least once. The concert series will take place at the Tokyo Garden Theater in the Ariake district. The films will be played in English with Japanese subtitles. Friday, April 18 Star Wars: A New Hope in Concert Doors open at 18:00, performance starts at 19:00 and ends 21:30 Saturday, April 19 Star Wars: A New Hope in Concert Doors open at 12:30, performance starts at 13:30 and ends 16:00 Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back in Concert Doors open at 18:00, performance starts at 19:00 and ends 21:30 Sunday, April 2...

It's not been announced if they will be clearing the screening room between movies but with a only a 10 minute turn around time between movies I'd guessing not. Honestly, I have mixed feelings about this. On the one hand I'm thrilled that they're doing screenings, watching the films with a room full of fans is an in...
