Star Wars Celebration Japan Autographs & Photo Ops On Sale (Finally!)

 

Well, that was certainly eventful!!


Opening at 7PM ET yesterday, sales were quickly suspended as it became apparent that a back end conversion error was causing chaos.

Prices on guest pages were appearing in dollars (for the incorrect amount), the correct yen rate would then appear when you viewed your basket or went to check out. Not ideal, but the real issue was that system then tried to charge you the yen amount in dollars! So a ¥27,995 autograph that should have been around $180 was coming through as $27,995! Needless to say a lot of people were having their cards declined (and those few that went through will be needing refunds)!

Due to the time difference I'm not quite sure how long sales were down for. It was almost 2:30am in the UK/9:30pm ET when I decided to call it a night but the issue had been resolved when I got up four hours later. So far no guests have sold out, so thankfully no one missed out due to the issue.

Star Wars Celebration Announces Main Panels and Reservation System

  This is the way (to get panel and Lightspeed Lane reservations). Last night Star Wars  Celebration officially announced  the return of the Lightspeed Lane for the Celebration Store and a new Panel Reservation system that will replace the lottery system used since 2019. But, not hidden but certainly buried away, was an even bigger announcement - the 4 main panels of Star Wars  Celebration Japan 2025!! Kicking things off, the Lucasfilm Showcase is out and dedicated movie panels are back in! The Mandalorian & Grogu  opens Celebration on Friday and will hopefully give attendees (and the world) the first full teaser trailer for Star Wars'  eagerly awaited return to the big screen. Saturday brings with it two major panels - Andor: A Star Wars Story  and Ahsoka . THIS PAGE HAS BEEN UPDATED FOLLOWING THE LIGHTNING LANE RESERVATION PROCESS First though, Ticket Transfers. TICKET TRANSFERS A new wrinkle this year. To take part in online reservations each ticket must be assigned to a unique email address. You cannot enter any of the reservations as a group.
