First Guests Announced and On Sale for Star Wars Celebration Europe

 

Whilst I've been away the first two waves of guests have been announced for Star Wars Celebration 2023!

On January 23rd it was announced that legendary Anthony Daniels (C-3PO) would be attending alongside Ashley Eckstein (voice of Ahsoka Tano), Matt Lanter (voice of Anakin Skywalker), Dee Bradley Baker (voice of the Bad Batch and the rest of the clone army), Giancarlo Esposito (Moff Gideon), Vivien Lyra Blair (young Leia), and Indira Varma (Tala Durith).

Then, on January 30th, it was revealed that the Chosen One himself, Hayden Christensen (Anakin Skywalker), would be returning to Celebration along with Katee Sackhoff (Bo-Katan Kryze), James Arnold Taylor (voice of Obi-Wan Kenobi), Mads Mikkelsen (Galen Erso), and Denis Lawson (Wedge Antilles).

That's quite the guest list already, and we still have several more weeks of announcements to go! But don't wait as pre-orders for autographs and photo ops are already on sale through Official Pix with a send in service also available for those who can't be there in person.

First Details on New Virtual Queuing System Revealed

Even without The Star Wars Show (what happened?!) there's still some big Celebration news today as eager fans across America began to receive their badges and the first information on the new queueing system. Whilst the full details of the new system haven't been revealed yet, it looks like Celebration's infamous overnight line ups (seen above in an image from WDW Info) are now a thing of the past. The Resistance Broadcast's Lacey Gilleran shared pictures of her VIP badge today (featuring some great Qui-Gon Jinn artwork) which came bearing the message Activate your badge now to maximize your SWCC Experience! StarWarsCelebration.com/Activate The link takes you to a GrowTix page that essentially tells you that your Celebration badge is your first step into a larger world. Funko Exclusives Announced for Star Wars Celebration 2022

  Funko went all out for May the 4th, revealing the multitude of  Star Wars Celebration exclusives coming from Funko and Loungefly. First up is the Diamond Glitter Grogu. Limited to 5000 pieces, this is a shared exclusive with other ReedPOP conventions this year. Classic A New Hope  versions of Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Chewbacca, Darth Vader, and a Stormtrooper will be available as single POP figures and a 5-Pack featuring all the figures on one stand. The singles will cost $12 and the 5-Pack will cost $59.99. The 5-Pack is a shared exclusive with Amazon. The singles are divided between multiple retailers. Luke at Box Lunch, Leia at FYE, Chewie at Target, Stormtrooper at Gamestop, and Vader is a Funko web exclusive. Ralph McQuarrie's iconic concept art will also be represented with Concept Series POPs of Darth Vader and a 2-Pack of R2-D2 and C-3PO.
