Star Wars Celebration Japan Competitions


With tickets about to go on sale there's currently two competitions for our American friends to win tickets to next year's Star Wars Celebration in Japan!

The first is from Regal Cinemas, offering their Regal Crown Members a chance to win a trip for two. The promotion is in conjunction with The Phantom Menace's 25th anniversary this weekend but no purchase is necessary. Click here to see all the ways you can enter. Competition closes 11:59pm ET on May 4.


The second competition comes from Japan's National Tourism Organization, celebrating US-Japan Tourism Year, and will open on May 11 alongside the third annual Japan Parade in New York, with this year's parade featuring a commemorative "May the Force Be With You in Japan" float in celebration of the event!

Full details will be announced on May 11, with the competition running until September 30. You can find more details here.

  Funko went all out for May the 4th, revealing the multitude of  Star Wars Celebration exclusives coming from Funko and Loungefly. First up is the Diamond Glitter Grogu. Limited to 5000 pieces, this is a shared exclusive with other ReedPOP conventions this year. Classic A New Hope  versions of Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Chewbacca, Darth Vader, and a Stormtrooper will be available as single POP figures and a 5-Pack featuring all the figures on one stand. Some Early Celebration Europe 2023 Advice

  Over the next few weeks I'm going to start updating this blog with a new 2023 hub and working on new guides for next year. But for those of you who want to get the jump on things I figured I'd do a quick post with the information we do have (and a little on what we can expect to be different from last time Celebration was in London). Next year Star Wars Celebration is returning to London, and to the ExCeL Center where both Celebration Europe 2007 and 2016 were held. This will be the first four day Celebration in Europe and will take place over the Easter weekend from Friday, April 7, to Monday, April 10. Ticket sales haven't been announced yet (hopefully we should see them in the next month or two), so most of this will be focused on hotels and how things ran in 2016. First quick note - ExCeL is card only for their food court/own vendors, so keep that in mind when deciding how much money to change.
