Authors Announced for Star Wars Celebration Chicago


The galaxy's greatest authors are heading to Star Wars Celebration next year!

If you've ever wanted to meet the writers behind some of your favourite adventures in a galaxy far, far away then this is your chance. Authors and artists from Star Wars novels, comics, and are all set to join fans in Chicago next year. From Timothy Zahn, the man who kicked off the original expanded universe, to new fan favourite Claudia Gray. This is your chance to get your book signed, your questions answered, and to be in the room as they announce new adventures for your favourite heroes and villains in the Star Wars saga.

The run up to Christmas was a crazy one for me but in December Star Wars Celebration announced another round of authors who will be joining fans at Star Wars Celebration in LESS THAN 100 DAYS!! This time is going to fly by!!

First Details on New Virtual Queuing System Revealed

Even without The Star Wars Show (what happened?!) there's still some big Celebration news today as eager fans across America began to receive their badges and the first information on the new queueing system. Whilst the full details of the new system haven't been revealed yet, it looks like Celebration's infamous overnight line ups (seen above in an image from WDW Info) are now a thing of the past. The Resistance Broadcast's Lacey Gilleran shared pictures of her VIP badge today (featuring some great Qui-Gon Jinn artwork) which came bearing the message Activate your badge now to maximize your SWCC Experience! StarWarsCelebration.com/Activate The link takes you to a GrowTix page that essentially tells you that your Celebration badge is your first step into a larger world. Funko Exclusives Announced for Star Wars Celebration 2022

  Funko went all out for May the 4th, revealing the multitude of  Star Wars Celebration exclusives coming from Funko and Loungefly. First up is the Diamond Glitter Grogu. Limited to 5000 pieces, this is a shared exclusive with other ReedPOP conventions this year. Classic A New Hope  versions of Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Chewbacca, Darth Vader, and a Stormtrooper will be available as single POP figures and a 5-Pack featuring all the figures on one stand. The singles will cost $12 and the 5-Pack will cost $59.99. The 5-Pack is a shared exclusive with Amazon. The singles are divided between multiple retailers. Luke at Box Lunch, Leia at FYE, Chewie at Target, Stormtrooper at Gamestop, and Vader is a Funko web exclusive.
