Two Years Ago Today...


It's hard to believe that Celebration Europe was only 2 years ago! It feels like so much has happened since that incredible weekend.

I'm blessed to have an amazing wife who shares my crazy passion for that galaxy far, far away, and today is our wedding anniversary. Two years ago, we celebrated our anniversary by taking part in that fantastic Celebration tradition - the over night queue!


I couldn't resist the card, it was too perfect!

We made new friends, share stories with our line buddies, and had an amazing first day at Celebration.

So, yeah, I've not had time to write a full post today but I just wanted to share this. I have the best wife in the world, and we're both looking forward to being back at Celebration next year!

First Details on New Virtual Queuing System Revealed

Even without The Star Wars Show (what happened?!) there's still some big Celebration news today as eager fans across America began to receive their badges and the first information on the new queueing system. Whilst the full details of the new system haven't been revealed yet, it looks like Celebration's infamous overnight line ups (seen above in an image from WDW Info) are now a thing of the past. The Resistance Broadcast's Lacey Gilleran shared pictures of her VIP badge today (featuring some great Qui-Gon Jinn artwork) which came bearing the message Activate your badge now to maximize your SWCC Experience! StarWarsCelebration.com/Activate The link takes you to a GrowTix page that essentially tells you that your Celebration badge is your first step into a larger world. When you activate your badge (using the code under the QR barcode as seen in the picture below) you will automatically be chosen to battle for the Light or Dark side of the Force. Yea

Funko Exclusives Announced for Star Wars Celebration 2022

  Funko went all out for May the 4th, revealing the multitude of  Star Wars Celebration exclusives coming from Funko and Loungefly. First up is the Diamond Glitter Grogu. Limited to 5000 pieces, this is a shared exclusive with other ReedPOP conventions this year. Classic A New Hope  versions of Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Chewbacca, Darth Vader, and a Stormtrooper will be available as single POP figures and a 5-Pack featuring all the figures on one stand. The singles will cost $12 and the 5-Pack will cost $59.99. The 5-Pack is a shared exclusive with Amazon. The singles are divided between multiple retailers. Luke at Box Lunch, Leia at FYE, Chewie at Target, Stormtrooper at Gamestop, and Vader is a Funko web exclusive. Ralph McQuarrie's iconic concept art will also be represented with Concept Series POPs of Darth Vader and a 2-Pack of R2-D2 and C-3PO.
