Star Wars Saga Mural to Debut at Celebration


Well this is beautiful!

Artist Jason Palmer, along with Art Director Doug Chiang will debut a massive mural capturing the entire Star Wars Saga. From The Phantom Menace to The Last Jedi, with The Clone Wars, Rebels, and Resistance in between, the mural is a timeline of the beloved saga.

Artwork from the mural will be featured on a wide range of products available from Amazon (which you can see over at the official site) and I'm really hoping they have posters or prints of the full work available in Chicago!

UPDATE - Jason Palmer has confirmed that the mural will be unveiled on Thursday morning, with the Sequel Trilogy section being revealed on Friday. Prints of the mural will be available from Jason's booth (4323) at Celebration with prices ranging from $150-500 depending on the size of the print and the type of paper used. This will not be a Celebration exclusive and you can pre-order online now.

Sadly, working on the mural means that Jason has not had time to complete his Art Show entry "There Is Another". He has received permission for this piece to be used at the next Celebration and will have prints ready ahead of time.

First Details on New Virtual Queuing System Revealed

Even without The Star Wars Show (what happened?!) there's still some big Celebration news today as eager fans across America began to receive their badges and the first information on the new queueing system. Whilst the full details of the new system haven't been revealed yet, it looks like Celebration's infamous overnight line ups (seen above in an image from WDW Info) are now a thing of the past. The Resistance Broadcast's Lacey Gilleran shared pictures of her VIP badge today (featuring some great Qui-Gon Jinn artwork) which came bearing the message Activate your badge now to maximize your SWCC Experience! StarWarsCelebration.com/Activate The link takes you to a GrowTix page that essentially tells you that your Celebration badge is your first step into a larger world. There's been lots of information revealed today so let's start with the big one! No opinions here, just the facts as best as I can work them out. Which type depends on which panel you want to see. Celebration Stage - Morning Lottery The main panel each day will be the morning panel held on the Celebration Stage. For these four panels an online lottery will open on Friday March 29th and run through to 23:59 central time on Thursday April 4th.
