Star Wars Nite Postponed



In the wake of Celebration Anaheim 2020 being cancelled Disney have announced that the Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite, originally due to be held on August 27th, has now been postponed.

In a brief update on the Disney Parks Blog they state

"In light of the recent cancellation of Star Wars Celebration, we are making the decision to postpone Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite. Please visit Disneyland.com/starwarsnite for details. For more information on Star Wars Celebration please visit starwarscelebration.com"

The Star Wars Nite link takes you to Disneyland's Travel Information page where it says "We are working on rescheduling options and hope to have more to share at a later date." Your Star Wars Nite ticket will automatically be eligible for the new date, but "Guests who no longer wish to use their current Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite ticket may call (714) 781-4636 for assistance."

My best guess is that Star Wars Nite will now take place once Disneyland is able to open to full capacity again and a new event will be announced for Celebration Anaheim 2022.

First Details on New Virtual Queuing System Revealed

Even without The Star Wars Show (what happened?!) there's still some big Celebration news today as eager fans across America began to receive their badges and the first information on the new queueing system. Whilst the full details of the new system haven't been revealed yet, it looks like Celebration's infamous overnight line ups (seen above in an image from WDW Info) are now a thing of the past. The Resistance Broadcast's Lacey Gilleran shared pictures of her VIP badge today (featuring some great Qui-Gon Jinn artwork) which came bearing the message Activate your badge now to maximize your SWCC Experience! StarWarsCelebration.com/Activate The link takes you to a GrowTix page that essentially tells you that your Celebration badge is your first step into a larger world. Funko Exclusives Announced for Star Wars Celebration 2022

  Funko went all out for May the 4th, revealing the multitude of  Star Wars Celebration exclusives coming from Funko and Loungefly. First up is the Diamond Glitter Grogu. Limited to 5000 pieces, this is a shared exclusive with other ReedPOP conventions this year. Classic A New Hope  versions of Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Chewbacca, Darth Vader, and a Stormtrooper will be available as single POP figures and a 5-Pack featuring all the figures on one stand. The singles will cost $12 and the 5-Pack will cost $59.99. The 5-Pack is a shared exclusive with Amazon. The singles are divided between multiple retailers. Luke at Box Lunch, Leia at FYE, Chewie at Target, Stormtrooper at Gamestop, and Vader is a Funko web exclusive.
