Fan Event - The Boonta Eve Cantina

 

Formerly know as Forcechella, The Boonta Eve Cantina is coming to Anaheim.

Always one of the first fan events to be announced, the Facebook Star Wars Celebration fan group's Cantina event will once again bring fans together the night before Celebration for an evening of food, fun, and karaoke.

Taking place on Wednesday, May 25, at Bigs Bar and Grille the free event runs from 4pm to midnight.

Featuring Alderaan Idol Karaoke and signings by Kevin Thompson (Return of the Jedi), Eric Walker (Caravan of Courage, Battle for Endor), Dominic Pace (The Mandalorian), Leilani and Ariel Shiu (The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett), Tim Donaldson (A New Hope), Kevin Edward Thompson (Obi-Wan Kenobi), and more. Skywalking Through Neverland will also be podcasting live from the event.

UPDATE - More guests have now been announced! New guests include Misty Rosas (The Mandalorian) and Samantha Alleyne (Sequel Trilogy, Rogue One, Solo).

First Details on New Virtual Queuing System Revealed

Even without The Star Wars Show (what happened?!) there's still some big Celebration news today as eager fans across America began to receive their badges and the first information on the new queueing system. Whilst the full details of the new system haven't been revealed yet, it looks like Celebration's infamous overnight line ups (seen above in an image from WDW Info) are now a thing of the past. The Resistance Broadcast's Lacey Gilleran shared pictures of her VIP badge today (featuring some great Qui-Gon Jinn artwork) which came bearing the message Activate your badge now to maximize your SWCC Experience! StarWarsCelebration.com/Activate The link takes you to a GrowTix page that essentially tells you that your Celebration badge is your first step into a larger world. When you activate your badge (using the code under the QR barcode as seen in the picture below) you will automatically be chosen to battle for the Light or Dark side of the Force. Yea

Lightspeed Details! Lotteries, Panel Reservations & Virtual Lines

There's been lots of information revealed today so let's start with the big one! No opinions here, just the facts as best as I can work them out. You can (and should!) read the full article over at the official site , but here's my hopefully simplified breakdown. NOW UPDATED with new information from the Celebration website Panels There will be 3 types of panel entry at Celebration Chicago. Lottery. Online Reservation. And good old fashioned queuing. Which type depends on which panel you want to see. Celebration Stage - Morning Lottery The main panel each day will be the morning panel held on the Celebration Stage. For these four panels an online lottery will open on Friday March 29th and run through to 23:59 central time on Thursday April 4th.
