Fan Event Round-Up!

 

Doing a round up post for these final few fan events! I'm afraid I missed when some of these went on sale so a couple are now sold out, but most are still open for fans wanting to attend!

First up, the Blackhorse Beer Mile Crawl. Taking place on Celebration eve, Thursday April 6, this bar crawl will start at 16:00 and run until roughly 21:30 and is open to anyone who wants to do some pre-Celebration mingling with other fans. The crawl starts at Beerblefish Brewhouse.


Next, Bib's Bash: A Star Wars Celebration Afterparty. Hosted by the Star Wars Sessions podcast this afterparty event takes place on Saturday, April 8, at Social Convention from 19:00 and is currently sold old.


The Cosplayers of the Old Republic are hosting their traditional COTOR Cantina at Celebration Europe. Taking place on Saturday, April 8, from 19:30 this casual fan event is open to all to come and go as they please. Location TBC.


A fan club exclusive event, the Sail Barge to Celebration is a four hour river cruise down the Thames with a BBQ buffet, drink (1 alcoholic or 2 soft drink), and DJ all included in the £47.50 ticket. Also included is an exclusive event patch. This event open only to members of the Dark Empire, Fantha Tracks, Mando Mercs, Rebel Legion, Saber Guild, UK Garrison, and Jedi News.


Join Ken Napzok and Joseph Scrimshaw from the ForceCenter podcast for Return of the Comedy, an evening of stand-up comedy at the Harrison Venue on Sunday, April 9, from 20:00-22:00 (doors open at 19:30). Tickets for this event are now sold out.

First Details on New Virtual Queuing System Revealed

Even without The Star Wars Show (what happened?!) there's still some big Celebration news today as eager fans across America began to receive their badges and the first information on the new queueing system. Whilst the full details of the new system haven't been revealed yet, it looks like Celebration's infamous overnight line ups (seen above in an image from WDW Info) are now a thing of the past. The Resistance Broadcast's Lacey Gilleran shared pictures of her VIP badge today (featuring some great Qui-Gon Jinn artwork) which came bearing the message Activate your badge now to maximize your SWCC Experience! StarWarsCelebration.com/Activate The link takes you to a GrowTix page that essentially tells you that your Celebration badge is your first step into a larger world. Funko Exclusives Announced for Star Wars Celebration 2022

  Funko went all out for May the 4th, revealing the multitude of  Star Wars Celebration exclusives coming from Funko and Loungefly. First up is the Diamond Glitter Grogu. Limited to 5000 pieces, this is a shared exclusive with other ReedPOP conventions this year. Classic A New Hope  versions of Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Chewbacca, Darth Vader, and a Stormtrooper will be available as single POP figures and a 5-Pack featuring all the figures on one stand. The singles will cost $12 and the 5-Pack will cost $59.99. The 5-Pack is a shared exclusive with Amazon. The singles are divided between multiple retailers. Luke at Box Lunch, Leia at FYE, Chewie at Target, Stormtrooper at Gamestop, and Vader is a Funko web exclusive. Ralph McQuarrie's iconic concept art will also be represented with Concept Series POPs of Darth Vader and a 2-Pack of R2-D2 and C-3PO.
