Star Wars Celebration Japan Art Show Revealed


 The Star Wars Celebration Art Show is here!!

The Art Show is one of my favorite parts of Celebration. I just love seeing all of the new and unique art work created for the event and I always try to bring home at least one new piece from each Celebration I'm lucky enough to go to. I would love more but I think I'm going to need a new wall if I started getting multiple pieces from each show!

Last night the official site revealed all 20 official art works for this Celebration, including work by Jonathan Beistline, Tricia Benson, Candice Dailey, Brian DeGuire, Traci Easterday, Seth Groves, Danny Haas, Akinobu Hara, Joe Hogan, Brad Hudson, Mathilde Machuel, Joey Mason, Dawn Murphy, Tsuneo Sanda, Tomoko Taniguchi, Hidetaka Tenjin, Chris Trevas, Malcolm Tween, Dianne Vaznelis, and Ksenia Zelenstova.


This year's art covers almost all part of the Star Wars saga, from The Acolyte to the 20th anniversary of Revenge of the Sith so you're sure to find something you like no matter what you're a fan of. This year I'm leaning towards Tricia Benson's "Your Path You Must Decide", but I've always loved the work of Tsuneo Sanda so "Anakin's Path" is tempting as well.


This year's Art Show is being run by ReedPop instead of Dark Ink so the pre-sale will take place via the official Celebration website from 6pm PT on Wednesday, March 5, to 12pm PT on Thursday, March 20.

Fan Event - Celebration Bash: Outer Rim Matsuri Japan 2025

  Welcome to the Outer Rim Matsuri (festival)! On outer rim world, not dissimilar to Japan, the fan clubs are coming together for their traditional Star Wars  Celebration bash! Taking place on Saturday, April 19, the Celebration Bash is open to members of the official groups along with their families and friends. That's right, families! For the first time ever the Celebration Bash will welcome all ages for an evening of fun, food, drinks, and entertainment. Tickets to the Bash cost ¥12,000 per adult, ¥3,500 per child (ages 13-17), and ¥2,500 per child (ages 6-12). All tickets include a meal and all-you-can-drink beverages including both alcohol and soft drinks. Adult tickets also include a special event goodie bag containing an original patch, artwork, and more. Funko Exclusives Announced for Star Wars Celebration 2022

  Funko went all out for May the 4th, revealing the multitude of  Star Wars Celebration exclusives coming from Funko and Loungefly. First up is the Diamond Glitter Grogu. Limited to 5000 pieces, this is a shared exclusive with other ReedPOP conventions this year. Classic A New Hope  versions of Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Chewbacca, Darth Vader, and a Stormtrooper will be available as single POP figures and a 5-Pack featuring all the figures on one stand. The singles will cost $12 and the 5-Pack will cost $59.99. The 5-Pack is a shared exclusive with Amazon. The singles are divided between multiple retailers. Luke at Box Lunch, Leia at FYE, Chewie at Target, Stormtrooper at Gamestop, and Vader is a Funko web exclusive. Ralph McQuarrie's iconic concept art will also be represented with Concept Series POPs of Darth Vader and a 2-Pack of R2-D2 and C-3PO.
