Panel Selection & Lightspeed Lane Guide 2023

Hey everyone, sorry for the delay on this piece, it was my last week at my current job this week so time kinda got away from me. Lots of changes this year so lets break down everything you need to know about Panel Selections, Lightspeed Lanes, and more!

PANELS

There will be at 2 types of panel entry at Celebration Europe this year. The online Panel Selection (lottery) and good, old fashioned, queuing. Barring any late announcements nearer the time, it looks like the daily Lightspeed Lane Reservation system for Galaxy and Twin Suns Stages is out this year.

Panel Selection (Lottery)

Entry to the five biggest panels of Star Wars Celebration will once again be determined by an online lottery.

Entry to the online selection process began on March 14 and will close on Tuesday, March 21, at 11:59PM GMT. Selection is random and the time you enter has no impact on your chances of being selected for panel entry.

Entry to the lottery will be at this site and is via the email address you used to purchase your Celebration tickets or your order confirmation number. You do not need an activated badge to enter the lottery.

You can enter the lottery once for each of the tickets on your purchase (so if you bought 6 tickets you will have 6 lottery entries).

IF your group size is less than 4 you can share your group code with fans you did not buy tickets with. Once you have entered for the ticket(s) you purchased, you will receive a group code that you can share with friends so they can join your group. Maximum group size is 4.

IF you purchased 4 or more tickets together you can enter all of your tickets together as a group, so if you bought 6 tickets you can enter as a group of 6, but you cannot add anyone else to your group afterwards.

Panels that will be selected by lottery are:

Friday - Lucasfilm's Studio Showcase (Live on Celebration Stage, streaming to Galaxy & Twin Suns)
Saturday - Ahsoka (Live on Celebration Stage, streaming to Galaxy & Twin Suns)
Sunday - Villains of the Sequel Trilogy (Live on Celebration Stage, streaming to Galaxy)
Sunday - A Look Back at Obi-Wan Kenobi (Live on Celebration Stage)
Monday - Star Wars: The Bad Batch (Live on Celebration Stage, streaming to Galaxy & Twin Suns)

Fans who win the lottery will be notified via email which will confirm which stage they have won and provide a QR code for panel access.

Jedi Master VIPs are not eligible for entry as they have reserved seating for all Celebration Stage panels.

There will be overflow standby lines for all stages available for each panel in case there are any seats to be filled, but these are expected to be extremely limited. Please see entry guide for more details once they are announced.

Unreserved Seating

All other panels WILL NOT require a lottery win or panel reservation. Fans will be seated first come, first served for subsequent panels until the stages reach capacity.

In Chicago and Anaheim the main arena was not cleared after each panel. Fans were free to remain in their seats, move to new seats, or leave after each panel ended. However, with the smaller main stage in London it is likely (but not confirmed) that all stages will be cleared after each panel.

And don't forget that the Star Wars Celebration LIVE! Stage will be on the show floor for fans to enjoy streaming of the major panels and guest interviews.

LIGHTSPEED LANE RESERVATIONS

Show Store Shopping Reservations

Two big changes this year.

First, this year fans need to book their Celebration Store Lightspeed Lane reservations ahead of the event.

Second, reservations are limited to one person. So if you have a 4 day ticket or purchased single day tickets for multiple days, you can only make one Lightspeed Lane reservation (not one per day as you could attempt in the past).

Reservations will open at 4PM on Thursday, March 23. The reservation system will close once all available times have been booked.

You will need your order confirmation ID to complete your Celebration Store reservation.

Funko Booth Shopping Reservations

Funko has done away with the lottery this year and will instead require a Lightspeed Lane reservation to purchase the Funko and Loungefly exclusives.

Reservations will open at 4PM on Wednesday, March 29. The reservation system will close once all available times have been booked.

You will need your order confirmation ID to complete your Funko Booth reservation.

Standby Lines

Both the Celebration Store and the Funko Booth will have stand-by lines available on the day. Funko's line will open at midday, you may not queue before this time.

I hope this breaks everything down clearly enough! For those entering the lotteries, may the Force be with you!
