TICKET RESALE

Tickets for Star Wars Celebration Anaheim went back on sale on Tuesday, March 15th, at 9am PT. Jedi Master, 4-Day (Adult), and Saturday (Adult) tickets all sold out that day. Adult tickets for Thursday, Friday, and Sunday are still available along with all Kids tickets. The official ticket page can be found here.

LYTE EXCHANGE

Along with the new ticket sale, ReedPOP confirmed that the Lyte exchange would be returning for 2022 for any sold out ticket types. However, Lyte tickets will no longer be resold at face value. The official page says Lyte will "take into account supply (returns), demand (requests), and the prices on the secondary market and then provide the most competitive price for both sellers and buyers. For requests, the price is not set to a fixed % above or below face value, but we will always undercut the secondary market (up to 20%).

Despite this change, my recommendation would still be to go via Lyte for any tickets that aren't available via the official site. This is because your lottery entries for major panels and exclusives are linked to the email address the tickets were bought with, so if you purchase second hand you risk not being able to enter the lotteries.

ORIGINAL TICKET SALE

Tickets originally went on sale June 21, 2019.

VIP badges sold out instantly with 4-Day badges selling out within a record breaking 2 hours. Friday and Saturday badges also sold out in record time, with only a limited number of Thursday and Sunday tickets remaining before sales were suspended.

Adult tickets originally cost $195.00 for the full four day event and $75.00 for individual days.

Kids (aged 6-12) tickets originally cost $70.00 for the full event and $35.00 for individual days.

Jedi Master VIP tickets cost $900.00 (see the full contents of the Jedi Master Package here).

HOTEL BLOCK

The official hotel block this year is being offered via Connections Housing, which you can access here.

If you aren't able to get the hotel you want or all the nights you want, then it's important to check back daily. Rooms open up as fans swap and change their bookings. I was able to get a connected hotel in Chicago by literally adding individual nights to my booking over the course of a several months until I had all the nights I needed. A key date to remember is 30 days out, when you get charged for the first night of your booking. This is the point when many fans will be making the final changes to their plans and rooms will open up.

It's also important to remember that, whilst the official block offers some of the most competitive rates, the Anaheim Convention Centre is literally a block from Disneyland. There are plenty of hotels, of all prices and within walking distance, that are not part of the block and have rooms available during Celebration.

Comments

  1. So there has been zero updates or emails since last year announcement of new dates. We are 3 months out and still nothing. Does anybody know if this is happening or getting cancelled again.?

    1. No news at all. I'm trying to stay optimistic they're just announcing stuff later/closer to the event due to things being a little less predictable this year. Biggest thing for me is unlike 2020 we're not in lockdown and watching all other conventions in the run up being cancelled. So we're not in "they're just waiting for insurance to kick in" territory. But a simple "see you in 90 days" tweet would be really appreciated right now!

  2. Stumbled on your site...this is really cool stuff! Thanks for putting it together! As a somewhat vet (this is my 4th celebration) I've found stuff that's useful. Can't wait for this year!
